We are passionate about live music: The people who make it and the people who listen! We created Acousticool to provide a platform in central Connecticut for outstanding emerging artists. Acousticool is first and foremost a discovery series — our mission is to introduce you to your next favorite artist. Join us for a show and discover why artists and fans love visiting Acousticool!

IMPORTANT: Acousticool house concerts is on an extended hiatus to begin 2026. We are not planning or booking new concerts at this time, as we consider the future of the series. Be sure to check back later this year for more updates!

As a fan… you’ll be part of a very select group of people seeing a one-of-a-kind performance by world-class musicians — without the distraction of bar noises or disinterested patrons.

As an artist… you’ll perform for a supportive audience intently listening to your music. Chances are you’ll leave Acousticool with a small but loyal brigade of new fans!

The “cool” in Acousticool stands for unique, original and compelling! Acousticool shows are one-of-a-kind experiences that you can’t find on a different day just down the road. Let us surprise and delight you!

Every penny donated at Acousticool goes to the artists. There is no “cut” for the house, no profit to be made by us as hosts. In fact, we lose money every year. That’s ok, because Acousticool is not a business, it’s a community! Want to help? The biggest thing you can do to support Acousticool is attend some shows!

The Unseen Music Scene

Champlain College students Jenna Misra and Olivia Lyons created a short documentary about house concerts in 2019 and we were delighted for Acousticool to be one of the three series they filmed. If you’d like to know more about house concerts, or just appreciate good filmmaking, you won’t regret spending 13 minutes watching this film.
